Wedding Portraits at Upper Kananaskis Lake

When Daniella and Connor told us they wanted to do wedding photos in the mountains, we were immediately excited. There’s nothing we love more than couple portraits somewhere as stunning as the Kananaskis, and Upper Kananaskis Lake definitely didn’t disappoint.

And even better than the views from the shore — Daniella and Connor made the photos even better by crossing a small knee-deep path through water and climbing onto the island in the middle of the lake. It made for some truly stunning views — and we couldn’t be more obsessed.

We love mountain wedding portraits because they really allow everyone to take their time and soak in their surrounding. Plus, unlike wedding photos that need to take near the ceremony and reception — wedding portraits can happen almost anywhere — making the photo possibilities limitless.

Wedding portraits can also be the perfect way to celebrate your first month (or first year) of marriage and way to reuse your wedding outfits one more time!
