When Tarah & Brad said they wanted to do their engagement session this past November, we were so excited. While the summer and fall are more popular seasons for engagement photos, there is something so beautiful about a winter session — especially in the mountains.

The first and most important part of planning engagement photos is choosing a location, and Lake Minnewanka was definitely the perfect choice for this beautiful winter day.

Lake Minnewanka is easily one of our favourite photo locations in Banff. It’s not quite as popular and busy as some of the bigger names, which makes shooting at Lake Minnewanka a lot easier to plan. It also has stunning views no matter which way you point the camera, with breathtaking mountains surrounding it.

Tarah & Brad opted for a second outfit to really make the most of their session. Two outfits is such a great way to get two different looks from the same day.
