Taylor and Joe have always shared a deep love for the mountains, so when they got engaged, choosing a wedding location was easy. They decided to road-trip up from California to exchange vows in Canmore, with the stunning Rocky Mountains as their backdrop. With Joe serving in the Navy, it made their celebration even more special to be surrounded by such beauty and peace.

We captured their intimate ceremony before exploring the area for more mountain portraits. After a quick outfit change, we headed to Mainspace, a new, modern venue in Canmore. There, they celebrated their reception with close friends and family who had traveled all the way to Canada to be with them. Every detail they incorporated into the day was thoughtful and meaningful.

We always love when out-of-town couples appreciate the natural beauty of Canmore and Banff, and we feel so fortunate when they choose us to be part of their celebration.

We got extra lucky during Taylor & Joe’s portraits with this beautiful sighting of elk. The wildlife in the mountains will always be one of our favourite parts of photographing weddings there!
