There is something so magical about winter proposals in the Canadian Rockies, and Tejaswini & Joy’s proposal at Lake Minnewanka was such a beautiful one to look back on as we head into spring.

Captured back in December before the lake froze over for the season, the combination of fresh snow, dramatic mountain views, and the bright blue water created the dreamiest setting for such an important moment. Joy planned such a thoughtful proposal, and getting to witness Tejaswini’s reaction as he got down on one knee was so special to capture.

Afterwards, we spent some time exploring the lakeshore together and documenting all the excitement of this new season for them. Proposal sessions always feel so genuine — full of emotion, joy, and those just-engaged moments you never want to forget.
